Half Century of Progress DVD 2021

This DVD features profiles and action shots of the hard-working machines that broke the plains to make agriculture the most important industry in the United States. All the foot is from the 2021 Half Century of Progress Show, which is held every other year at the Chanute Air Force Base near Rantoul, Illinois, and is the world’s largest tractor show featuring working machinery.

Hosted by farm broadcaster Max Armstrong and produced by award-winning author and photographer Lee Klancher, this engrossing, 2-hour DVD features experts discussing the vintage tractors and equipment plowing, harvesting, and working as they did many years ago. The DVD also includes segments on steam plowing, how tractor rides became a national phenomena, the history of this show, profiles of the rare and interesting machines at the show, and much more.
